Is Candy AI Shorts Safe? Billing, Privacy and Legitimacy
Who runs Candy, what shows on your bank statement, how to cancel, what happens to your tokens, the leak and re-upload pages to avoid, and the habits that keep an adult account private.
“Is Candy AI safe?” and “is it legit?” are among the most searched questions about the platform, and they deserve better than a yes. Below is what can be checked: who operates Candy, what appears on your bank statement, how cancelling works and what happens to your tokens, followed by the habits we recommend for keeping an adult account private.
Who runs Candy
Candy.ai is operated by EverAI Limited, a company incorporated in Malta and registered with the Malta Business Registry under number C107181. Its terms of service are governed by Maltese law.1 The same company details appear at the foot of Candy’s subscriptions page, and Candy runs a public help center under the EverAI name.2
What shows on your bank statement
Candy’s charges appear as “EverAI”, not as “Candy” and not with any explicit wording. Candy states this both in its help center and on its subscriptions page.3 If you see an EverAI charge you do not recognise, check whether anyone else in your household uses Candy before assuming fraud, then contact Candy’s support or your bank.
How to cancel a subscription
Premium plans renew automatically, and Candy says you can cancel at any time. The steps, according to its help center:4
- Log in on candy.aiUse the same account you subscribed with.
- Open My Profile, then SettingsThe subscription details are at the bottom of the settings page.
- Choose UnsubscribeThen confirm. Keep the confirmation email or take a screenshot.
Cancelling stops the renewal. Your remaining token balance stays on the account and can be used again whenever you are Premium; only deleting the account removes your content.5
Age rules
Candy requires users to be 18 or older, uses an age gate and may ask users to verify, or re-verify, that they are adults, adding further checks where local law requires them.1 Laws are moving in the same direction in many places; see the age-check section of our big-picture chapter.

Leaks, re-uploads and fake “free” sites
In our view, the riskiest thing about Candy Shorts is not the platform but the ecosystem around its name. Searches for “leaked” episodes or uploads on video platforms such as Dailymotion lead to pages that Candy did not publish: Candy Shorts live on candy.ai.6 We do not link any of them, and we have not audited each one, but pages of this kind usually turn out to be:
- re-uploads of the free episodes, cropped or watermarked, which Candy shows in full quality at no cost anyway;
- bait and switch, a Candy title on top of an unrelated clip or a chain of redirects;
- fake download buttons that install adware, extensions or notification spam;
- card traps, forms asking for a card number to “verify your age” before a free video.
Series with a creator’s AI twin add a consent problem: the likeness is licensed to Candy, not to whoever re-posts it. If you already clicked something, do not enter card details, remove anything you installed in the last minutes, and ask your bank about blocking the card if you did type it in.
If you have read this far and want to try the service the safe way, start with a free episode on the real site:
